Bangle Size Guide

All our bangles are bent by hand & although a mould is used to keep the sizes as consistent as possible, there will be some variation.   So please bear in mind that all measurements are approximate.

Finding the perfect bangle fit is all about measuring your hand…

You will need:

  • Your hand!!!
  • A flexible measuring tape or a piece of string
  • A ruler (or tape measure)
  • Something to write the measurement down with
  • Oh & a friend on hand to help will make it so much easier, but is not essential

So, let's get measuring...

Step 1:  Bring your thumb & little finger together

Step 2:  Take the string or flexible measure

Step 3:  Wrap the string around your hand where it is widest (see the mustard arrow on diagram below)

Step 4:  Mark the spot on the string or take note of the measurement

Step 5:  Measure the string length on a ruler & write down the result

Step 6:  This will give you the circumference of the widest part of your hand

You can also double check how snug the bangle will be on your arm in wear by measuring your wrist at the widest point (see the pink arrow above).
Compare your hand & wrist measurements against the diagrams below to work out your best fit bangle.

Please bear in mind the bow bangle has been designed to be a more snug fit than some completely circular bangles, so it does not fall down over your hand.   The acrylic has very little give, but the opening in the bangle does allow you to squeeze a larger hand through than a standard circular bangle.

As a guide, if your hand circumference measures less than 20cm the small size bracelet should be ok, although the closer your hand to the maximum size, the tighter it will be to slide on or off & it will be helpful to leave the ribbon tie undone until fitted.

Likewise, if your hand circumference measures between 20cm & 23cm, the large size bracelet will be better, although again the closer your hand to the maximum size, the tighter it will be to slide on or off & it will be helpful to leave the ribbon tie undone until fitted.

If you’d like a bit more wiggle room for comfort then go with the large size.

Top Tip: Position your thumb nearest the gap in the bangle to help with sliding on

It is possible to slide the bangle on with the ribbons already tied, but for a tighter fit when wearing, you may need a helping hand to tie your ribbons in a neat bow after you have put the bangle on as this will leave the opening clear to help when sliding your bangle over your hand.
